After struggling to nurse my first baby, dealing with airway and sleep issues with my two oldest children, and going through a tongue, lip, and buccal tie release with my youngest daughter, I began studying myofunctional therapy and tethered oral issues (tongue, lip, and buccal ties). I dove head first and completed over 200 hours of coursework in oral development across the lifespan in about 3 years and had a goal to better serve my families with a root cause approach in the areas of speech, feeding, myofunctional, and lactation related concerns. I stand firm in the belief that we must use a team approach to get the best results with tongue, lip, and buccal tie releases. I desire to ensure that families receive a proper diagnosis , and supported for their release and throughout the wound healing time.

I am the founder and owner of Eats and Speaks, located in Byron, IL. We specialize in assessment and treatment of speech, language, feeding, and myofunctional disorders from infants to adults.
