Birth Doula

My interest in becoming a birth doula began after my own child birth experience. Giving birth to my first child during the peak of Covid was quite the challenging experience. I had very minimal knowledge of my rights and options throughout my pregnancy and for first time expecting mothers it is crucial to have a direct point of contact with the knowledge that they may lack. Throughout my journey entering motherhood I learned so much valuable information that I want to give to other women. After the birth of my nephew, I learned what the roles of a doula were. I wanted to help relieve the stress and become an open line of communication to other mothers and their families so they have the birthing experience that they desire. Although child birth seems to be the only role most know about doulas, it’s the postpartum period that may be even more challenging. I want to remain available to support throughout those times as well to ensure new mothers don’t feel alone. I received my doula training through DONA. I’m extremely excited and grateful to support families during their most challenging new journeys. It’s truly a pleasure and I can’t wait to work with you and your families for many years to come.
